VOLUNTEER STEWARDS DEPARTMENT: FRONT OF HOUSE

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our volunteer team. You will perform a vital role as the public face of the theatre during our performances, ensuring that our customers have an enjoyable and positive experience.

The role of the Volunteer Steward is to provide a high-quality experience for customers of The Garage.  Responsibilities will vary for each performance and support and supervision will be given from the Duty Manager.

Front of House Volunteers
The Workshop are looking for volunteers to help on front of house. This is an incredible way of getting to know the space and team, whilst participating in the workings of a professional arts organisation. With a mix of day-time and evening shifts up for grabs, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking for experience in the industry or a productive and vibrant way of filling their spare time. There will also be opportunities to assist with productions and classes.

FREELANCE DELIVERY ARTISTS 

We’re looking to appoint our freelance delivery contracts in theatre, dance, music and fitness. Please find our available freelance hours here.

Any practitioner wanting to be considered for undertaking the advertised contracts will need to submit an expression of interest (EoI); this will be in the form of a letter, no greater than two sides of A4. The EoI will highlight skills and experience relevant to the delivery contract, relevant qualifications and experience and how the proposed practices will promote the values, vision and mission of The Garage Trust. Appropriate applicants will be interviewed for the role via Zoom with at least two members of senior staff from The Garage Trust. The interview will be conducted in line with our safeguarding safer recruitment and contract awarding practices.

FREELANCE HNC SINGING TUTOR

We are looking to appoint an experienced singing tutor for our HNC Performing Arts Foundation Programme. You must be trained in teaching to the Higher National Certificate qualification or the equivalent. This role is approximately 10 hours per week, on Tuesdays and Fridays (term time).
This delivery contract will run over 2 terms: Autumn Term 2020 – w/c 14 September – w/c 7 December and Spring Term 2021 – w/c 11 January – w/c 22 March (both excluding half term weeks).

FREELANCE MUSIC TUTOR (OUTREACH) 

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to deliver music sessions. The sessions will be delivered at primary school age and will take place in the Thetford area.
