PERFORMING ARTS WEEK

MONDAY 17 - FRIDAY 21 AUGUST, VARIOUS TIMES

Keep your performance skills alive during the summer by taking part in our programme of acting, dance and musical theatre.

Work with professional performance practitioners to develop your skills, with bespoke one to one and group sessions on offer.

The week has been designed so you are able to take part in the one to one acting sessions plus a morning and afternoon group session (3 sessions per day). Alternatively, you can pick just 1 or 2 activities for the week – all activities have one session per day for 5 days.

PLEASE NOTE: To take part in these activities you will need the technology to access Zoom, either through your phone, laptop or tablet. The device will need a camera so that the directors are able to see you and give you feedback on your performance skills.

1 activity every day for the week: £30
2 activities every day for the week: £55
3 activities every day for the week: £80

For more information, please email info@thegarage.org.uk or call 01603 283382 on a Monday or Friday.

ONE TO ONE SESSION

For 5 days you will take part in a 30-minute one to one monologue session with our theatre director to work on your acting and characterisation skills. Our theatre director will pick a monologue suitable for your age and ability. They will use the sessions to help you develop your skills in acting, performance and characterisation. You will be given direction on how to stage your monologue and bring your character to life through gesture, facial expression, tone, pace, diction, accent and costume.

So that our theatre director has time to research a suitable monologue for you, you will need to sign up for this activity by Monday 10 August, 5pm.

Places are limited and will be given on a first come first served basis.
