When 16-year-old Mona arrives at the off-grid commune where her estranged father lives, she is determined to find her place in this community of drifters.
Enchanted by enigmatic twins Ash and Luke, and the eccentric prophecies of survivalist Fox, Mona is sure this is where life really begins.
But they are hiding something, and it is closing them off to the world even more.
As Mona’s ties to the group deepen, she finds herself entangled in a complex reality far from the utopia she first arrived in.
The Roving is a coming of age play that considers the lengths we will go to protect what we love.
This event will be the reading of a new play. Audience feedback will be welcome.
